Day 69

Our Expensive Hotel in Rome

Day 69- Tuesday March 16th 2010

I am beginning to like Prof. Franchini more and more the more I talk to him. Even though he doesn’t speak English very well, he is still a very good practicing architect. On Thursday he gave me a crit that changed my studio project dramatically- and today I spent much of the day working on that design. My project this semester is a sloping, curvilinear ramp that runs through the internally infrastructure of my building, connecting all the programmatic functions and enclosing the arrangement with a glass façade. The space in between creates the public and semi-private spaces, and is more much more open. If you can envision this design I would be very surprised, cause not many people can. Our final project is due in two days… so I have a lot of work to do, bye!
