Day 55

Baroque Style Church

Courtyard designed by Michelangelo

Tuesday, March 2nd 2010

Today was a very good day. Nicoletta had the class sing happy birthday to me in Italian because they didn’t on Thursday (we had a test that day). We also sang Happy Birthday to Jen and Gabe because it was their birthday that day. Nicolletta is seriously the best start to my day- she’s so crazy and happy all the time! For Italian Art we went to a Medici Palace from the Renaissance and discussed its influence on Rome and the artwork, along with the architecture and the private chapel. It was a very interesting visit. In studio I had a very good crit from Prof. Franchini. We discussed my concept and design in detail. After studio I worked out before we celebrated Jens birthday first at her apartment with a big group of us: Jackie, Barb, Jen, Ian, Collin, Natlie, Lucas, to name a few… we went out to two bars and then I met up with some ID girls and Gabe for his birthday celebration at Space. There are a lot of February birthdays! We didn’t stay long because there wasn’t that many people there… I’m definitely starting to notice a lot of American students in Florence, especially at night.
