Day Twenty One

Wednesday Jan. 27th 2010

Today I was very busy. I tried to get as much done as I could before I leave to go to Paris tomorrow- which im really excited for! I worked out today at SWAN for the last time until next Monday. Most of the day was a hassle. I found out that the group I’m traveling with is leaving for Paris tomorrow on Thursday at 6:45 and my flight is scheduled for Friday at 3:20- so I would be missing an entire day of events. When Bryce and I booked our flight about a week ago we booked it according to the Flight number- which isn’t specific to the exact day and time of departure I guess- and I learned that the hard way. Our flight 9976 was the same flight as the one that left on Thursday. So in order to get it changed I had to pay 65 euros- which was the hassle. My payment was declined twice and the reservation office was closed when I tried calling multiple times. On top of that, I couldn’t get ahold of my parents to check with the bank and a travel agency on what the problem could possibly be. Tomorrow I’ll have to speak with an advisor at kent to see what the problem is. Regardless, I am very excited to go to Paris. I didn’t do studio tonight because I am going to have to miss studio tomorrow because we are meeting at the Duomo at 3:30 to take a train from Florence to Pisa. I packed a few things, because I am only taking a carry-on to Paris- my laptop, some dress shirts, ties, my book, and an extra jacket. I will be going to Paris with 5 other people- Bryce, Colin, and 3 ID girls: Katie, Katie, and Rachel, who have made a very impressive iternary for the trip. We will be going to Notre Dame, St. Chapelle, The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Pompidou Museum, The Palace of Versaille, and a few other places. I hope we have time to go everywhere- it is truly a trip I am looking forward to- and if everything goes smoothly with the reservation center, I will be leaving for Paris tomorrow afternoon! Now I just got to worry about studying for this test in Italian tomorrow… ugh.
